Finding the right foods to eat when having IBS can be very hard. The first thing to remember is everyone is different. Some diets may work for others but may not work for you. It’s trail and error. Here are some of the best tips and things you can do to help find out the best plan for you.
- Always keep a diary of what you eat on a good or bad day
- Cross off anything that made you sick
- Eat smaller portions through out the day and give you stomach a chance to digest
- I personally recommend fruit in a smoothie as it makes it easier to digest, also helps softer stools
- Always remember you are what you eat. You eat crap, you will most likely feel like crap.
- To eat any type of fruit always wait 3 hours after your previous meal for proper digestion
- Remember to check and read labels anything with fructose or corn syrup can take a toll on you
- Exercise helps naturally with the bowels process and it also makes you feel good
- Last, but not least stay positive. You may have hard days when trying new foods but there is always a new day to look forward to.
